2nd Annual “UA DAY OF JAZZ” - Members of SYLVAN STREET return to the University of Arizona School of Music to conduct a day of master classes, workshops and performances for statewide high school jazz band programs.

Members of Sylvan Street are back in the studio recording all new tunes for a CD set for release in Spring 2011 on Summit Records.

SYLVAN STREET is selected by NARAS (National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences) for Grammy Awards ballot consideration: Best Contemporary Jazz Album “The Perfect Leaf” (Summit Records) and Best Original Instrumental Composition “Rub The Buddha” (Jay Rees composer).

SYLVAN STREET releases its debut CD “The Perfect Leaf” on Summit Records.
March 5-7, 2009:
SYLVAN STREET performs at the Beavercreek, Ohio Weekend of Jazz along with The Woody Herman Orchestra directed by Frank Tiberi. Members of Sylvan Street critique eighteen area high school jazz bands, followed by clinics and workshops.
